I’m George Bray, and I’m running for McCracken County Judge Executive as an Independent because I believe every citizen deserves a voice in choosing our county’s leadership.
The future of McCracken County should be decided by all 59,695 registered voters—Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and unaffiliated voters—coming together in the General Election to select the leader who will serve everyone.
As Mayor of Paducah, I have worked to put people before politics, led with transparency, and remained accountable to the entire community. Those same principles will guide my service as County Judge Executive.
When people ask why I am seeking this office, my answer is simple:
I want to use my experience as a communicator, collaborative leader, and business-minded problem solver to serve all of McCracken County. Our county is home to more than 67,500 residents and serves as the economic and population center of Western Kentucky. As McCracken County faces significant opportunities for growth and development, strong leadership has never been more important.
Since being elected Mayor, I have focused on strengthening partnerships between local government, citizens, businesses, and neighborhood organizations. I have worked to bring greater energy, talent, and experience to local boards and commissions while helping guide sound financial decisions that position our community for long-term success.
Family is at the center of everything I do.
My wife, Angela West Bray, and I are blessed with eight children. Like so many families across McCracken County, we are committed to building a community where our children and future generations will choose to live, work, and raise their own families.
I am proud to be a sixth-generation McCracken County native. Today, my daughter and granddaughter represent the seventh and eighth generations of our family to call McCracken County home. My roots here run deep, and so does my commitment to the future of this community.

City residents choose the benefits of city services. County residents often choose lower taxes and a quieter lifestyle.
Cooperation, Not Consolidation.
As our community begins to grow, cooperation within the two governments that exist here will be critical to our success.
In 2011, our community soundly rejected the prospects for merger. There is a deep feeling by a large majority of our citizens that a merger would not benefit our community and I wholeheartedly agree.
